NSD - Protecting your Data

Encryption - Part of secure application design, involves the transformation of information at the byte level, rendering the information unreadable in plaintext. Data encryption within the database provides a layer of defense, protecting data even if a network or system becomes compromised.

Within the NSD application database, the following information is identified as being sensitive and encrypted; corporate information, personal information, store related information.

The Advance Encryption Standard (AES), also know as Rijndael encryption, is the 128-bit process utilized in NSD.
